Discover Why the Hemant Soren Government Is Under Fire for Paper Leaks and JSSC Irregularities before elections

Jharkhand Elections 2024: This time, the Hemant Soren-led JMM coalition government is facing severe criticism due to leaked exam papers and irregularities within the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).

There are suspicions that the state government’s lack of seriousness about the future of the youth may have led to these incidents. Home Minister Amit Shah, who visited Jharkhand on Sunday, slammed the ruling JMM over the exam paper leaks. He promised that if the Bharatiya Janata Party comes to power, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) will be set up to bring the culprits to justice.

Amit Shah said, “More than 11 exam papers have been leaked but Hemant Babu is silent as the cuhemantlprits are his close aides.” We will set up an SIT and ensure that those responsible for these leaks are put behind bars.”

The paper leak has badly damaged public confidence in Jharkhand. The way the JMM government has handled the issue is seen as questionable. Critics claim that such leaks could have been prevented if the JMM government had prioritised exam security.

Despite allegations of malpractice in the JSSC exams, the authorities appeared indifferent. People are naturally wondering why the leak happened. Either the government failed to stop them or it lacked the will to maintain a transparent and fair recruitment process. Other states have introduced strict restrictions to prevent such leaks, setting a model for Jharkhand to follow. The Hemant Soren government has come under severe criticism for its lax response in checking the paper leaks.

Candidates had expected a speedy investigation and accountability, but the delay has led to public anger. Allegations of cover-up against the government A major issue is the government’s delay in dealing with these cases transparently, which has further fuelled suspicions. Instead of taking action, the government seemed to focus on covering it up to protect its image.

Faced with government inaction, what options do young people have?

Despite this massive scandal, no one has been identified as responsible, and those responsible have not been severely punished. Young candidates spend a lot of time preparing for state exams. But who can they turn to when the government itself seems indifferent? These events have not only affected the present of countless talented young people, but are said to have potentially put their futures at risk due to the irresponsible actions of the state.

Under these circumstances, it is natural to suspect that Jharkhand is fostering an atmosphere of increasing corruption and nepotism in government work. For this reason, there are widespread calls for an independent investigation or judicial inquiry into these cases, as the state’s internal investigation no longer inspires confidence.
