Imran Khan News: PTI Chairman said that the set-up of former COAS Bajwa is still working in the establishment. Without naming the army chief, he said, “Power in Pakistan is in the name of one person.”
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan said that former Army Chief General Bajwa once called him a playboy, in response to which he also called Bajawa a playboy. The former PM said, ‘General Bajwa called me a playboy and in response I told him ‘yes, I was a playboy and you too’. Imran revealed his last meeting with General Bajwa in a conversation with media persons at his house in Zaman Park in Lahore.
The PTI chairman further claimed that the set-up of former COAS Bajwa is still working in the establishment. Without naming the army chief, he said, ‘Power in Pakistan is in the name of one person.’ Imran has been continuously targeting General Bajwa for the past several days.
‘Bajwa backstabbed’
The former Prime Minister said that Bajwa does not want accountability in the country, that’s why their relations have deteriorated. In response to a question, he said that Bajwa is showing solidarity with him after backstabbing him.
Serious allegations against Hussain Haqqani
The former prime minister accused Bajwa of taking the services of Hussain Haqqani, Pakistan’s former ambassador to the US, for lobbying in the US. In a so-called memo, Haqqani was accused of calling for US action against Pakistan’s military following the 2011 US raid in Abbottabad amid a growing rift between the civilian and military leadership.
He was accused of issuing visas to Americans without due process, bypassing relevant authorities and embezzling funds, The News reported.
The ousted prime minister also said that Haqqani had campaigned against him and was promoting the former army chief in the US. He earned dollars by ‘selling terrorism’ while turning his guns on ex-president and ex-army chief Pervez Musharraf.
