Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal condemned the incident, calling it ‘shameful’ and said the culprits should be given the ‘severest punishment’.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday protested against the “poor” law and order situation in the national capital, with Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Will lay siege to Saxena’s residence. AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak said that women are not safe in the city. He made this comment in the background of an incident. In an incident that took place in outer Delhi on Sunday, a car hit a 20-year-old girl’s scooty and then dragged the girl for four kilometers from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala, after which she died.
Pathak tweeted, “The capital of the country has become a crime city. Our sisters and daughters are not safe in Delhi and LG Sahab is doing politics leaving the responsibility of law and order. Delhiites will gherao LG House at 2 pm today against the lax law and order situation.” Condemning the incident, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called it ‘shameful’ and said that the culprits should be given ‘strictest punishment’.
When the police reached the spot, the girl was already dead and lying naked on the road. His body was severely injured and his clothes were torn. Eupolis traced the girl’s relatives from Scooty’s number. Then the police reached the five boys from the number of the car. The CCTV footage of the incident is being scrutinised. It is being investigated whether the youths were returning from where they had consumed alcohol.
He tweeted, “What happened to our sister in Kanjhawala is extremely shameful. I hope that the culprits will be given the harshest punishment. Police said five people have been arrested in connection with the woman’s death. He told that the woman’s scooty was hit by a car in which the accused were riding.
