Fire at petrochemical factory in early morning: smoke seen up to 8 km away- Checkout horrific scenes

Theft, robbery or murder incidents are frequently reported from Gujarat while another such fire is being reported. A huge fire broke out at Shivam Industries near Gothda village in Savli taluka of Vadodara district early in the morning.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that a fire broke out due to increased pressure in the reactor during a chemical process at a pharmaceutical powder manufacturing company. The sound of an explosion in the reactor at the company was heard up to 8 km away.

Crowds of people living in the surrounding area turned up again as soon as the incident was reported. As part of the precaution, residents were evacuated to farms around the burning company. The fire broke out around 5.30am this morning with a huge explosion.

Traffic was disrupted following the incident:
Among the injured, six employees were taken to Sayaji Hospital in Vadodara for further treatment. Amarendra and Ramakrishna, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged after receiving first aid at Savli’s Jamnotri Hospital.

Due to this incident, Vadodara Savli Road was closed for vehicular traffic. Which disrupted traffic. However, an attempt was made by the police to ease the traffic by diverting some vehicles to other villages.

6 employees burnt in fire shifted for treatment:
Six workers were burnt in the fire when the reactor exploded in the factory and they have been taken to SSG Hospital in Vadodara for further treatment. The fire caused extensive damage to the factory. At the same time, black debong clouds were seen in the sky with heavy explosions.

At the same time, fear spread among the people around. Fire teams from Vadodara Fire and other companies have also been trying to contain the blaze. Shivam Company manufactures various chemicals and powders and is located in Gothra village of Savli.

People were evacuated:
A large number of people from the surrounding villages, including Gothda village, rushed to the spot due to the blaze. Early in the morning on Savli Vadodara Road, fire brigade vehicles, ambulance sirens as well as police and administrative vehicles rang.

Injured worker:
Golubhai, Girishbhai, Sirajuddin, Sujitbhai, Amarendra, Ramakrishna and many others have been seriously injured in the fire.
